Biography
Alonzo H. Pickle lived through a century of profound change, yet he maintained an enduring respect for the simple values of diligence and honesty, which guided his work and family life. A reassuring presence in his community, he was often sought out for calm counsel and a practical solution to everyday challenges.
He delighted in watching young people learn the trades that sustained their families and took pride in the homegrown successes of his neighbors. Upon his passing in 1925, Alonzo was laid to rest in Home Cemetery, remembered for cultivating both the land and the connections that gave it meaning.
