Biography

Alphonse Lavaudan was a French artist whose creative work spanned the early decades of the nineteenth century. His artistic practice contributed to the cultural production of Restoration and July Monarchy France, a period of significant artistic innovation and change.

Lavaudan maintained his artistic pursuits throughout his career in Paris, ultimately finding his final resting place in Montmartre Cemetery. His burial there reflects his status within the artistic community of the capital.
