Biography
Alton B. Parker built a distinguished legal career in New York, ultimately serving as Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals and becoming the Democratic nominee for president in 1904.
After the campaign he returned to the bench with a renewed sense of duty, presiding with fairness and restraint and leaving a legacy of thoughtful jurisprudence now honored at Wiltwyck Cemetery.
