Amos G. Throop

Biography

Amos G. Throop was born in 1811 and lived through much of the nineteenth century, witnessing changes in the Mountain View area and the broader country while remaining a steady presence for his relatives and neighbors.

He now rests at Mountain View Cemetery and Mausoleum, where those who knew him remember the calm assurance he offered and honor the quiet dignity of his long life.
