Biography
Amy Sherwin, the Tasmanian-born soprano known as the Tasmanian Nightingale, brought her wide-ranging voice and dramatic flair to leading opera houses in London and beyond, delighting audiences with roles that blended coloratura brilliance and heartfelt expressiveness.
She later devoted herself to teaching, to benefit concerts that supported aspiring musicians, and to loving recollections of her homeland, resting now at Bromley Hill Cemetery.
