Biography

Anatole Lewitsky was born in 1901 and pursued anthropology, seeking to deepen understanding of human societies and cultures in an era of rapid change. His intellectual curiosity and commitment to scholarship brought insight to the study of humanity’s diverse experiences.

He died in 1942 and is interred at the Cimetière parisien d'Ivry, where he is remembered for his contributions to anthropological thought amid one of the most turbulent chapters of the 20th century.
