Biography
André Daguesseau (1888–1978) was a French poet whose literary career spanned much of the twentieth century. Through his poetry, he contributed to French literary traditions and expressed the sensibilities and concerns of his era, participating in the rich cultural life of twentieth-century France.
Daguesseau's long life allowed him to witness tremendous changes in French society and literature. His burial in Père Lachaise Cemetery reflects his standing within French literary circles and his contributions to the nation's poetic heritage.
