Biography

André-Louis Cholesky, born in 1875, was a French mathematician whose work laid the groundwork for enduring advances in numerical analysis and linear algebra.

He gave his final measure of service during the Great War and was laid to rest in Cuts National Cemetery, remembered both for his intellect and his sacrifice.
