Biography

Andrew Hynes was among the pioneers who settled central Kentucky, helping to establish the town that bears his family’s name and serving as a civic leader when the frontier community first took shape.

He spent his later years fostering institutions that would endure after his 1800 passing, and his grave in the Hynes-Talbott Cemetery marks the foundation of a family and town deeply rooted in those early years.
