Biography
Andrew J. Weaher, born in 1842, came west during an era of expansion and became one of the steady citizens who helped Phoenix transition from a frontier camp into a settled community, always ready to lend practical assistance to neighbors and newcomers.
He invested his time in church suppers, civic affairs, and quiet acts of kindness; when he passed in 1920 he was laid to rest at Greenwood/Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, where the neighborhood still recalls his reliable presence.
