Biography
Angelos Giallinas (1857–1939) was a distinguished Greek painter who contributed to the artistic heritage of Greece during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Based in Corfu, he developed his artistic practice during a period of significant cultural development in the Ionian Islands.
Giallinas maintained a long career spanning several decades, witnessing and participating in the evolution of Greek art through the nineteenth and into the twentieth century. His work reflected the artistic sensibilities of his time, and he remained an active figure in Corfu's cultural life until his death in 1939.
