Biography

Ann Arnold Key Turner (1811–1884) was a steadfast matriarch whose grace supported generations along the Mare Island coastline, providing comfort and encouragement amid the rhythms of shipyard life. Her generous spirit helped anchor the friendships and hopes of neighbors during both bright days and trying ones.

Today she rests in Mare Island Cemetery, a fitting place of repose for a woman who embodied resilience and warmth.
