Ann Pauling

Biography

Ann Pauling lived during the early decades of British rule in India, from 1781 to 1813. Her life spanned a transformative period in Calcutta's development as a colonial center.

She was interred at South Park Street Cemetery, where her grave stands among the many who witnessed and lived through the establishment of British authority in the subcontinent.
