Anna Campbell Palmer

Biography

Anna Campbell Palmer, born in 1854, devoted herself to civic causes in Elmira, helping advance opportunities for women and families through education, public health, and civic engagement. Her voice belonged to the chorus of reformers who worked patiently toward a more inclusive public life.

She passed away in 1928, having left Elmira with strengthened institutions and generations inspired by her example of service.
