Biography

Anna Maria Pratt was a beloved matriarch whose gentle leadership enlivened the many groups she joined in support of education, health, and companionship. She held to the belief that small acts of encouragement could buoy individuals through difficult times and that a generous heart could heal fractured relationships.

Her presence at neighborhood gatherings, charitable dinners, and church circles made her a steady comfort to many, and when she passed in 1928 the community paused to honor her devotion to others. Her grave in Woodland Cemetery marks a life lived in attentive service to her fellow citizens.
