Annabella Syme

Biography

Annabella Syme (1837–1915) was a notable figure in nineteenth-century Melbourne society. Her life spanned a transformative period in colonial Victoria, during which she witnessed the region's development from a frontier settlement into a thriving urban center.

Remembered as a woman of her time, Annabella left her mark on the community in which she lived. She was laid to rest at Boroondara General Cemetery, where her memory continues to be honored.
