Anne Ambler

Biography

Anne Ambler (1772–1832) was a woman of the Virginia gentry connected to one of the Commonwealth's notable families. She lived through a transformative period in American history and was part of Richmond's social circles during the early republic.

Ambler's memory is honored at Shockoe Hill Cemetery, where she rests among other distinguished members of Virginia's prominent families.
