Biography
Anne du Ruey (1768–1816) was a French noblewoman whose life encompassed the dramatic transformations of the Revolutionary era. Born into the aristocracy, she navigated the profound social upheaval that redefined French nobility and society during her lifetime.
Despite the turbulent times in which she lived, Anne du Ruey maintained her dignity and position. She passed away in 1816 at the age of 48 and was interred in Père Lachaise Cemetery, where she rests among other distinguished members of French society.
