Anne Hill Carter Lee (1773–1829) was a woman of prominence in Virginia society whose life was deeply connected to the state's planter aristocracy and the nation's early history. As the wife of Henry Lee III and mother of Robert E. Lee, she occupied a significant position in one of Virginia's most notable families and witnessed the major events of the Revolutionary and early national periods.
