Biography

Anne Morris Stout’s long life, beginning in 1806, spanned much of the nineteenth century and all of the transformative changes that shaped the nation.

She maintained close ties with her community, offering a warm and generous spirit to family and neighbors, and Green-Wood Cemetery became her place of rest after her passing in 1900.
