Biography
Anne Palmer, born in 1760, was known among neighbours for her steady kindness, the quiet strength with which she sustained her household, and the manner in which she welcomed travellers to Sandy, offering hospitality that lifted spirits and reinforced the bonds of the congregation.
She devoted herself to the care of widows and children in the parish, supporting the weekly gatherings at St Swithun and leaving a legacy of faithful service when she passed in 1838 and was reunited with her loved ones in the churchyard there.
