Annie McCarer Darlington

Annie McCarer Darlington, born in 1836, spent many years in West Chester where she devoted herself to charitable causes and the support of families facing hardship. She approached each task with kindness, often organizing refreshments and gatherings that brought neighbors together.

Darlington's careful stewardship of those efforts made West Chester stronger, and her memory remained warm among those she helped when she passed in 1907.
