Biography

Anson Sterling Cone, born in 1827, helped shape the working landscape of the Willamette Valley through his steady hands and unshakeable resolve. He balanced the demands of cultivating the land with the call to uplift neighbors, and his counsel was sought in town meetings and family gatherings alike.

Through seasons of challenge and harvest, he remained convinced that well-tended orchards, thoughtful conversation, and loyal friendships would carry the community forward. Buried now at Butteville Cemetery, his presence endures in the fields he tended and the people he encouraged.
