Biography

Anthony Chabot, born in 1813, became an engineer and entrepreneur whose vision for water supply systems nourished the burgeoning Bay Area, from mining camps to thriving towns, through ambitious reservoirs and aqueducts.

He later turned his success toward public recreation, leaving parks and a generous trust that continue to serve the region; Mountain View Cemetery remembers him as a businessman and engineer committed to the common good.
