Biography

Anton Arensky (1861–1906) was a celebrated Russian composer whose musical works made a lasting contribution to the classical music repertoire. His career flourished during the late 19th century, a golden age of Russian musical composition and innovation.

Arensky's compositions, including chamber works, orchestral pieces, and operas, reflected the rich harmonic language and emotional depth characteristic of Russian Romanticism. He was interred in Tikhvin Cemetery, a final resting place for many of Russia's most distinguished musicians and cultural luminaries.
