Biography

Antonín Jílek was born in 1922 during the early years of Czechoslovak independence. His life of sixty-nine years allowed him to witness both the promise of the new nation and the challenges of the subsequent decades.

Jílek passed away in 1991 and was laid to rest in Vinohrady Cemetery. He represented a generation that came of age during a pivotal moment in Czech history.
