Biography
Antonín Umlauf lived from 1902 to 1975, experiencing the full arc of twentieth-century Czech history. His life spanned the founding of the Czechoslovak Republic through the establishment of Communist rule and beyond.
He made his home in Žatec, a significant town in the Bohemian region, where he spent his life and was eventually buried in the town cemetery. His place in the community's history is preserved there.
