Antonio Gutiérrez de la Fuente

Biography

Antonio Gutiérrez de la Fuente (1796–1878) was a distinguished Peruvian military officer whose career extended across much of the nineteenth century. He served in numerous military capacities and was involved in significant military and political events throughout Peru's early republican history.

Gutiérrez de la Fuente's long military career reflected the evolution of Peru's armed forces and the nation's political development. His contributions to military affairs and national security were recognized through his burial in the prestigious Presbítero Matias Maestro cemetery.
