Biography

Archduke Joseph Francis of Austria, born in 1895, served with a sense of duty and maintained a devotion to the traditions of his heritage while supporting cultural and civic causes in Buda. Though his military career was marked by turbulent times, he sought to promote reconciliation and the well-being of those in his care.

His presence is still felt near Buda Castle, where his life and service are remembered with respect.
