Arnoldus Vanderhorst

Biography

Arnoldus Vanderhorst was born in 1748 and was part of a family rooted deeply in Southern life, devoted to keeping faith with friends and neighbors during stirring times. He prized hospitality and the comfort of home, and his counsel was cherished when calm minds were needed.

He now rests within Magnolia Cemetery, where the oaks stand guard and visitors can remember a man who kept loyalty at the center of his days.
