Arnošt Lederer grew up on the cusp of a new century, learning the importance of compassion and quiet service amid the rhythms of Brno’s Jewish life. Though his years were few, he brought warmth to every room he entered and a steady optimism that inspired those around him.

He is remembered by family and friends as someone who embraced hope even as the world grew more complicated, and he now rests peacefully in the Jewish cemetery in Brno.
