Biography

Arnošt Sachsel (1877–1931) was a member of the Czech Jewish community who lived during a significant period in Central European Jewish history. His life spanned the late Austro-Hungarian era and the early years of Czechoslovak independence.

Sachsel's memory is preserved in the New Jewish Cemetery in Kolín, a testament to the vibrant Jewish cultural and religious life that flourished in the Czech lands during the interwar period.
