Biography

Árpád Horvát (1855–1887) was a Hungarian naturalist whose scientific pursuits and observations contributed to the understanding of the natural world during the late nineteenth century. Despite his relatively brief life, Horvát demonstrated a keen interest in natural phenomena and the systematic study of nature.

His work as a naturalist reflected the intellectual curiosity and scientific spirit of his generation. Though his career was cut short, Árpád Horvát is remembered for his contributions to Hungarian natural science, and his memory is preserved at Fiume Road Graveyard.
