Biography
Arthur Ernest Sansom earned distinction as a physician whose research advanced the understanding of cardiac and respiratory conditions; his publications on bronchitis and treatment protocols influenced contemporaries in the medical profession. He was also among the early advocates for hospital-based clinical teaching, bridging hospital practice and academic study.
Sansom’s career embodied the compassionate physician-scholar, and East Finchley Cemetery is the final resting place of a man whose practical reforms and medical scholarship improved countless lives.
