Biography

Artur Perna shaped Estonia’s built environment as an architect who balanced functionality with an appreciation for cultural context. His projects reflected a sensitivity to both heritage and innovation, helping to define the early architectural language of the republic.

Perna’s death in 1940 left colleagues to carry forward his thoughtful approach to design, and his contributions are remembered at Rahumäe Cemetery, where he is commemorated for shaping spaces that served people well.
