Biography

Artur Siil (1896-1980) inspired countless pupils as a teacher in Viru-Jaagupi, where he brought literature and history to life with warmth and clarity. His classroom was a place of encouragement, where students were asked to listen, think deeply, and carry their curiosity into adulthood.

Even after retirement he remained engaged in village life, attending performances and mentoring new educators, a presence honoured at Viru-Jaagupi Cemetery.
