Asahel Huntington

Biography

Asahel Huntington (1761–1813) lived during the Revolutionary War and the early years of American independence. His life coincided with the nation's struggle for freedom and the subsequent establishment of its constitutional government and democratic institutions.

Huntington was a member of the generation that witnessed America's transformation from colonial status to sovereign nation. He was laid to rest in Pine Grove Cemetery, where his memory is honored as part of the community that shaped early American history.
