Biography
Asen Agov (1890-1925) entered the officer corps at a time when Bulgaria was defending its borders and its place in Europe, serving in the Balkan Wars and World War I with dedication to the oath he had taken. He approached each assignment with calm judgment and a desire to protect his fellow citizens.
He is remembered by his comrades for the steadiness he brought to challenging duties, and his resting place in Central Sofia Cemetery is visited by those who honor the nation's defenders.
