Biography
Asher Mizrahi (1890–1967) was a poet whose verses drew on the rhythms of the land and the dreams of its people, giving lyrical voice to both the toil and the quiet joys of building a homeland. His published poems and occasional musical collaborations helped define the Hebrew literary scene of his era and offered solace during times of upheaval.
Colleagues remember him as a thoughtful craftsman of language whose work continued to inspire readers after his death; he now rests at Har HaMenuchot.
