Biography
Auguste Dillinger was a distinguished mime artist who brought the art of silent performance to Vienna during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His innovative interpretations and masterful physicality earned him recognition throughout Austria and contributed significantly to the development of mime as a serious theatrical discipline.
Dillinger's career spanned several decades, during which he performed in Vienna's most prestigious venues and influenced a generation of performers. He remained dedicated to his craft until his death in 1937, leaving behind a legacy as one of Vienna's most accomplished mime artists. He was laid to rest in Vienna Central Cemetery.
