Auguste-Marie-Ferdinand de Varaigne (1786–1852) was a French aristocrat who navigated the turbulent political landscape of post-Revolutionary France. Born during the height of the Revolution, he witnessed the transformation of French society and adapted to the changing fortunes of the nobility during the Napoleonic era and beyond.
De Varaigne was interred in Père Lachaise Cemetery, the final resting place of many prominent Parisians. His long life spanned from the Revolutionary period through the July Monarchy, making him a survivor of one of history's most dramatic transformations.
