Biography

Austin Lewis was an Australian rules football player whose career contributed to the sport's growth during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. He was part of a generation instrumental in establishing football's prominence in Australian culture.

Lewis's dedication to the game remains part of Australian sporting history. He was interred at Melbourne General Cemetery, a place of rest for many of Victoria's pioneering athletes and public figures.
