Biography

Avraham Krinitzi (1886–1969) served as the founding mayor of Ramat Gan for nearly half a century, shepherding the city as it rose from citrus groves to a vibrant modern municipality and championing public parks, industry, and civic institutions. A visionary politician, he invested in planning and culture so that the burgeoning population could flourish.

He died in 1969 while still in office, leaving a record of unwavering civic devotion; he is buried in the Ramat Gan National Park memorial site that commemorates his life’s work.
