Baalis Sanford, born in 1833, lived with integrity and a consistent commitment to his friends and neighbors. His thoughtful contributions helped foster a sense of belonging wherever he spent his days.

He died in 1909 and rests at Union Cemetery, where the respect for his character continues to be felt.
