Barbara Klein was a long-lived resident of Brno who witnessed nearly a century of Central European history. Born in 1832, she lived through the transformations of the 19th century and into the early 20th century.

Klein's extended life spanned from the Austro-Hungarian period through World War I. She was a member of Brno's Jewish community and was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Brno, a place of honor for those who contributed to the community's enduring legacy.
