Biography

Ben Peach was a pioneering geologist whose meticulous mapping and research in the Highlands reshaped the understanding of Scotland's geological structure. His work on the Caledonian orogeny and detailed field studies set a new standard for geological science in his era.

Laid to rest in Morningside Cemetery, he is remembered for his tireless dedication to fieldwork, his generosity toward younger colleagues, and the quiet enthusiasm he brought to the study of the earth.
