Benjamin Cushing

Biography

Benjamin Cushing (1725–1812) lived for many decades in the Hingham community, carrying forward the values of neighborliness and civic care that sustained coastal towns in the colonial and early national eras.

He is buried at Hingham Center Cemetery, where families continue to honor the loyalty he brought to his local parish and fellow citizens.
