Born in 1831 and passing in 1914, Benjamin F. Grady's long life traced much of the American story, and he approached every new season with a calm focus on the common good.

Friends and relatives recall his steady encouragement and generous hospitality, and his memory is cherished among the flowering grounds of Springvale Cemetery.
