Biography

Benjamin Jourist was a French resistance fighter who gave his life in the struggle against Nazi occupation during World War II. His commitment to freedom and his nation's liberation exemplified the courage of those who resisted tyranny at great personal cost.

Though his life was cut short, his sacrifice is remembered in Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he rests among other heroes of the French Resistance.
