Biography
Bernard Revel came to the United States with a deep commitment to Jewish learning, and he soon emerged as a guiding light for American Orthodoxy. As the founding president of Yeshiva College, he insisted on combining rigorous traditional study with secular scholarship, believing that faith and intellect could advance together.
His leadership extended beyond the campus, as he helped elevate Jewish education nationwide and championed a vision of spiritual growth rooted in both devotion and reason. His influence is still felt in the institutions and students who continue to draw strength from the standards he set.
